I have mixed feelings about fireworks displays, such as the one I enjoyed last night. On one hand, I find them entertaining for a reason or set of reasons that I cannot identify. On the other, the images just remind me too much of thefootage of Uncle Sam dropping bombs, which is the reason I've been known to call them Baghdad Moments.
To get over this, I believe I should create a short film that features typical Americans sitting in lawn chairs oohing and awing as if they were watching fireworks but as they are really watching the bodies of people from other countries who have been injured and killed by U.S. bombs.
