micah holmquist's irregular thoughts and links
Welcome to the musings and notes of a Cadillac, Michigan based writer named Micah Holmquist, who is bothered by his own sarcasm.
Please send him email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Holmquist's full archives are listed here.
Sites Holmquist trys, and often fails, to go no more than a couple of days without visiting (some of which Holmquist regularly swipes links from without attribution)
Blogs that for one reason or another Holmquist would like to read on at least something of a regular basis (always in development)

Of all justifications for invading Iraq, the most disgusting in the level at which it was disingenuous had to be that America wanted to help Iraqis out. Nothing could be further from the truth. If the welfare of the Iraqi people mattered to Americans, the details of this Aljazeera report would be far better known:
Dr Rafi Hayad, the director of the main hospital supplied the figures to the Reuters news agency. The agency has given no explanation of how Hayad reached his figures.Even if you believe that this is necessary, you would feel bad about this... if you actually valued Iraqi life and didn't just view them as a "homo sacer" to be alternately brutalized and exalted so you can feel good about yourself.
